Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery said he had a feeling Arsenal star Mesut Ozil would miss his penalty last night.
The Germany international squandered the chance to put Arsenal ahead from the spot in the first-half, as his penalty was saved by international teammate Manuel Neuer.
And Ribery, who grew up playing in the same youth team as Ozil and Neuer in Germany, said he predicted the miss.
"I said ahead of the penalty that Neuer would save it," Ribery said as reported by the Daily Star.
"I trusted Neuer and he did it. He is the best goalkeeper around."
Ribery missed the first-leg tie at the Emirates Stadium through injury, but the report claims he has returned to training and is likely to feature in the return fixture next month.
"The second leg against Arsenal is a realistic comeback date," Ribery continued. "I have a good feeling about it."
Bayern take a 2-0 advantage back to Munich after goals from Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller put them in control.
It was an even game before Wojciech Szczesny was sent off for a clumsy challenge on Arjen Robben just before half time - although David Alaba missed the subsequent penalty.
Kroos and Muller scored in the second half, giving Arsenal a mountain to climb if they are to progress to the quarter-final stage of the Champions League.
Bayern Munich knocked the Gunners out of the competition at the same stage last year.
