Chelsea want to speak with French giants Paris Saint-Germain over the potential signing of Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to The Daily Mail.
If reports are to be believed,
Jose Mourinho wants to bring two forwards to Stamford Bridge this
summer, and it now appears that Lavezzi is a target for 'The Special
One'.
Lavezzi starred - and scored - against Chelsea a few weeks ago, as
the Blues knocked PSG out at the quarter-final stage of the Champions
League.
And, after
reports
suggested that the player's representatives were in London earlier this
month regarding Lavezzi's possible departure from the club, the Blues
could now be set for discussion with the Ligue 1 moneybags over a summer
deal.
Chelsea fans will be hoping the club make a number of signings in the
forward department in the up coming market, after the likes of Fernando
Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o have all struggled for consistency
throughout the campaign.
It remains to be seen as to whether the Blues step up their interest
in the 28-year-old in the near future, but for now Mourinho and Co. will
be concentrating on this weekend's Premier League clash with
Liverpool.
Chelsea will be desperate to secure all three points at Anfield, as they look to stay in the race for the Premier League title.
